Bosch, a leading global supplier of technology and services, has been present in Africa since 1906 through its network of partners and distributors, e. g., assembling gas hot water heaters in Algeria via a local partner.

In 1965, Bosch established its first own subsidiary in South Africa. Since 2010, Bosch has expanded its subsidiary footprint in Africa, with own locations in 12 countries.

Today, all four Bosch business sectors, namely Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology have operations on the continent.

Bosch in Africa is very involved in driving existing and future industralisation of the African continent, at present, e. g., by establishing a factory for home appliances in Egypt, creating the basis for an automotive industry across the continent as part of the African Association of Automotive Manufacturers (AAAM), as well as providing technology for the emerging hydrogen ecosystem (http://www.bosch.africa).
